New NBA All-Star Game: United States vs. Internationals
With the United States having limited success in international play recently, despite this summer's dominant effort, I wondered what it would be like to have the US All-Stars compete against an entire team comprised of the All-International team. This type of game has been discussed for the NBA All-Star game, but David Stern has still gone with East vs. West every year so far. Hockey switched its All-Star Game to North America vs. The World for a few years, and has now switched back. I'm not saying that the trend has to continue where the US plays the Internationals every season, but with the amount of highly-skilled foreigners in the league, it would be pretty intriguing. Here are the teams I came up with. Each team has 2 complete starting lineups, as well as 2 utility players at any position.
