New Orleans Saints Fans Are Just Expressing Years of Frustration

 
Drew Brees is a leader both on and off the field. Last year, he was the first to come to Jason David’s defense when fans showed their disapproval over his play. Like a true leader, Drew Brees told us we should encourage, not boo, him or other players because of their play. After Saturday’s poor defensive display and singled-out attacks by fans against Jason David, Drew Brees made a similar statement. "C'mon people," Saints quarterback Drew Brees said. "We haven't even started playing games that count yet. It's extremely unfair. We're talking about the first quarter of our first preseason game at home. The bottom line is we all need to improve—offense, defense, and special teams. We shouldn't be hearing boos, especially at this time. We should be hearing encouragement." How can I put this politely? Most fans do not make millions of dollars, but each year, we put our hearts and souls into a team that has been the most turbulent in NFL history. To a true fan, every game ... (link)
