Last night during the pregame show of the Knicks-Cavs game, LeBron James was asked if he and his team were becoming distracted by the "LeBron James to the Knicks in 2010 talk."
El Numero 23 responded by saying, "It's not a distraction for us at all. It's a distraction for them (the Knicks); we're straight." James said, followed by a wide smirk.
James seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. So many fans of the Knickerbockers think that he is just going to take the biggest paycheck he is offered and come to the Big Apple.
Something inside me thinks that this is not going to happen.
He is a very smart guy and I think he sees the circus that has become the New York Knickerbockers, and wants to stay away from it.
And if James opts not to come to New York; then what?
Sure there are a lot of big names out on the market in 2010, but I believe that James is the only hope this franchise has in turning things around.
Anything else may turn into disaster.
I could see them ...
