NFL Mid-Season Report

 
With eight weeks gone in the NFL, most teams are approaching the turning points in their seasons. This NFL season has witnessed unbeaten teams, back and forth games, disappointments, and controversies. Here is a mid-season report through Week 8. Mid-season MVP: Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota Vikings Peterson is third in the league in rushing with 163 attempts and 784 yards. He averages almost five yards per carry and has nine touchdowns. Mid-season Rookie of the Year: Brian Cushing, LB, Houston Texans Cushing has 66 tackles (36 solo), one-and-a-half sacks, one safety, nine passes defensed, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles. Mid-season Coach of the Year: Josh McDaniels, Denver Broncos The Broncos faced controversy this off-season when trading Jay Cutler for Kyle Orton. The fans were holding their breath after an abysmal pre-season. This proves that pre-season means nothing, as McDaniels has him team off to a 6-1 start.
