As every football fan has come to expect, every NFL season has a dark horse. A team that rises from the ashes and makes a push in the postseason, and occasionally the Super Bowl. Even though, the NFL Draft has not yet come to pass, I would like to articulate which teams that I believe have the best chance of being a dark horse in the 2008 NFL season. 1). The Chicago Bears Only two years removed from their Super Bowl loss to Indianapolis, this might not seem like a true dark horse. However, with the question marks surrounding Rex Grossman, Cedric Benson, and the Chicago receivers, I am inclined to believe that Da’ Bears are in some dire straights right now. Nevertheless, the Bears have a boatload of draft picks and could possibly have more by Draft day. So if Chicago management can infuse this roster with five or six productive backups, maybe a starter or two—then the Bears could be right back where they left off. Chicago, however, will have to ...
