Syracuse and Maryland should absolutely be playing each other on a consistent basis in basketball, football and lacrosse. First off, there's the program statuses (statusi?) In each of the three "money" sports, SU and Maryland are on very even playing fields. In lacrosse, they're both juggernauts. Sore back, schmore schmack. Jonny Flynn put it all on the line last night to lead the Orange in a 88-72 win over Maryland in the NIT 2nd round. Just imagine how pumped this guy will get when he plays an actual NCAA game. Flynn scored 23 along with 7 assists and put SU over the top in a deceivingly close game despite the final score. If anyone had a theory that the Syracuse team was going to throw in the towel because they were in the NIT and not the NCAA's, watching last nights game should have put that to rest. It was definitely put to rest for the 14,768 that braved a blustery night and trekked up the hill to the Dome.
