No joy in the Willie Randolph watch

 
Finally, Willie Randolph’s job appears to be in serious jeopardy, but so what. Not that he doesn’t deserve to be fired, he deserves it more than ever after the debacle in Atlanta, when the Mets were outplayed, outhustled and outsmarted by one of their two big divisional rivals. It’s just that even if Willie goes, it might be too late to save the season. If there’s any doubt that Willie needs to go after the shameful display at Turner Field, it was erased in the postgame, when SNY once again made Wllie look bad - by airing his pointless comments, comments that we’ve unfortunately heard many times before: “I just hope that we remember how it feels when we come back here and get some payback…we’re gonna have to find a way, man. This is one of those tough spots of the year, when you have to fight through it and not overreact.” “I just hope,” “we’re gonna have to find a way” - these comments might be all right ... (link)
