Notes: Greinke sees improvement

There was similarity in the numbers for Royals starter Zack Greinke on Thursday, but not in the tangible results. Greinke gave up three runs in the second inning of a 4-3 Royals victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. He'd also given up three runs in his first outing against the Texas Rangers. There, in Greinke's mind, the similarity stops.

Joakim Soria was a relative unknown when he was draft with the number two pick in the 2006 Rule 5 Draft by Kansas City. Two days later, he pitched a perfect game.
