Notes: Span eyeing center field spot

Denard Span will have a shot at the Twins' starting center field spot and is taking inspiration from Chris Young of the Diamondbacks, a former rival who won a starting spot. Span will be battling Jason Pridie and Carlos Gomez for the starting spot.
