Notes: Sweeney hopes for chance

 
Mike Sweeney was one of only four team captains in the Major Leagues last season while with the Royals. Now that he's in camp with the A's, the 34-year-old veteran is hoping to provide leadership, but he knows he must first make the team to have that chance. [link]
