Notre Dame: College Students Drink???

If you haven't heard about this yet, a few members of the Notre Dame football were seen drinking. Now as much as I hate to bring this up I just need to get this off my chest. Why is this a big deal? As highly touted as quarterback Jimmy Clausen was coming out of high school he simply failed to impress last season, and I'm glad to see him doing well in the Beer Olympics. His celeb status on campus is helping him skim by classes and sweep girls into his dorm room. As much as I think Notre Dame needs to get back on track this year, it's more important to see him out in public in uniform with his teammates. I hope this doesn't get Charlie Weis to stop singing the national anthem at Cubs games. Let's accept the reality that all college kids drink. The scrutiny that Georgia receives for its players ending up in prison cells isn't the same as students drinking. Alcohol related issues are not real issues for football teams. After all, don't the Irish love to drink? (link)
