Now with Benzema Gone, Who Will Man United Get in the Transfer Market?

 
On July 1, Manchester United got even more bad news on who they could get in this summer's transfer market as Lyon striker Karim Benzema left to Real Madrid in a transfer that is believed to be worth £35 million. This means that Benzema is now off of United's list of potential transfers as Benzema was targeted to be a replacement for fellow Galácticos member Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez on Manchester United after both players left in June. As a replacement to Ronaldo, United already picked up Wigan Athletic winger Antonio Valencia, but they also aimed to have Benzema join the team, as he has been one of the most pursued young European players in this year's transfer market, and United believed that they would get him as recently as several days ago when Benzema said that he had no intention to join the Red Devils.
