Today, Oakland played a game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Everything went fine, except for one play.
That play killed us.
Early in the game, with the score tied 3-3, the Raiders tried a fake FG at the 11:57 mark. Apparently, someone on the Raiders coaching staff thought they were still in college.
The ball, flipped to Shane Lechler, was then fumbled.
And a player for Kansas City ran it back for a touchdown.
Now, don't get me wrong. Oakland had other chances. Twice on drives, heading into the end zone, Russell was either overthrowing players, like Ronald Curry in the end zone, or throwing it off a yard, like an over the middle pass to Ashley Lelie.
Surprisingly, a TD by Justin Fargas would tie the game at 10-10, in the third quarter.
Then the second and third things to go wrong today happened.
On Kansas City's drive for a touchdown, Gibril Wilson had a ball hit him cleanly in the chest...and he failed to reel it in. ...
