New York City: Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford finished first in the Heisman Trophy voting and accepted college football's highest honor at a ceremony in New York City Saturday night.
Bradford led college football's highest scoring offense to a national championship game berth against Florida whose quarterback, Tim Tebow, was another one of the Heisman finalists.
The biggest surprise of the night came when Texas quarterback Colt McCoy finished second in the voting. The voting finished like this:
Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma: 1,726 points
Colt McCoy QB Texas: 1,604 points
Tim Tebow QB Florida: 1,575 points
Tebow won last year's award, becoming the first sophomore to do so, Bradford became the second.
