Oklahoma Sooners Climb to Top After Week Two in Big 12 Rankings

Another pretty boring non-conference week, and this week not one Big 12 team lost. It's the same crew as last week, as Stuart Whitehair , Jimson Cuenta , and yours truly give our rankings of the Big 12 thus far. Note: Total points are given first, then tie-breaker points follow. The descriptions given after the teams were written by Peter Fleischer, and don't represent any other writers' opinions.   1. Oklahoma Sooners (33) [Two first place votes] The Sooners pulled away from Cincinnati late for their first respectable win.   2. Missouri Tigers (33) [Zero first place votes] Mizzou crushed FCS foe SE Missouri State, and will probably coast until their conference opener against Nebraska.   3. Kansas Jayhawks (28) [One first place vote] The Jayhawks will face their first real test this Friday when they face off against South Florida.   4. Texas Longhorns (28) [Two third place votes] The Longhorns have been quietly dominant against bad teams. ... (link)
