Ovechkin's 3 points power Caps by Flyers (AP)

 
Alex Ovechkin scored a short-handed goal and added two assists to lead the Washington Capitals to a 5-1 preseason victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday night. Ovechkin was the NHL's MVP last season when he led the league with 65 goals and 112 points. He has kept up the scoring this preseason, with four goals and seven points in three games. (link)
