Pacers promote Morway to general manager (AP)

The Indiana Pacers promoted David Morway to general manager on Wednesday. Morway, who had been senior vice president of basketball operations, will oversee salary cap issues and help president of basketball operations Larry Bird with all personnel decisions. He adds that to his previous duties of overseeing the day-to-day operation and administration of the basketball division.
