Pacific Ten Conference: Can They Get a Shot at The National Title?

Ok. I am an SC guy. I think that point has been made, however it’s time to bring out the Coors Light Cold Hard Facts. During the BCS Era, the University of Southern California has been crowned Pacific Ten Champions seven times. No other AQ BCS team has equvialent conference championships. If all of the AQ conferences are equal, then the team with the most conference championships has been the BCS’ best team. However, this USC program and the Pac-10 have been denied BCS National Championships. Competition in BCS National Championship Game The Southeastern Conference has competed in three BCS National Championship Games; the Big Ten has competed in two; the Big Twelve has competed in one; and the Pac-10 has competed in zero. The Pac 10 is 3-0 with a 20 point win margin vs. Big 10 teams since 2006 in BCS bowl games (when the BCS National Championship Game was instituted), while the SEC is 2-0 with a 19.5 point winning margin vs. the Big Ten in BCS bowl games.
