Packers long snapper Davis retires (AP)

Long snapper Rob Davis retired from the Green Bay Packers, weeks after becoming the only player remaining from the team's most recent Super Bowl appearance. Davis, a 12-year NFL veteran, will join Green Bay's front office as director of player development. Davis took over as the Packers' long snapper in 1997 and played 167 games in a Green Bay uniform -- the third-longest streak in team history. [link]
