Padres agree to deal with veteran Clark

 
In an expected move to strengthen their bench, the Padres have come to terms with veteran first baseman Tony Clark on a one-year deal. The San Diego Union-Tribune reported Sunday that the 35-year-old Clark, a San Diego native who played at San Diego State, would receive $900,000 this season. (link)
