Panthers Add D. Walker to Defensive Line

Free agent defensive tackle Darwin Walker agreed to a contract with the Carolina Panthers. He spent last season with the Chicago Bears and was with the Philadelphia Eagles prior to that. The Panthers traded defensive tackle Kris Jenkins earlier in the offseason and didn't select a defensive lineman until the sixth round of the draft Sunday....Please click on the title to continue reading this entry.

Grading a draft the day after it happens is always a silly exercise. You never know what "sure thing" will turn into a bust, or what late round selection turns into the next Tom Brady. Usually you need to wait at least three years to really get a good gauge of how a team did.
