Patriots Win, But Lose Brady: Can a Victory Be a Loss?

 
The New England Patriots were in a close one with Kansas City this week. The game was a story in itself, but it is not the big story for the Patriots this week. The Patriots were moving the ball downfield when a Kansas City safety came down on Tom Brady's knee after a throw. Brady went down and did not return. The Patriots report that an MRI has been scheduled for Monday. But it makes one question, "When is a victory a loss?" With the status of the reigning NFL MVP in question, it looks scary for New England fans. A bright sign is that Brady is walking, but the fact that he could be out for any time at all is scary. It really means that Matt Cassel would take the reins of a high-powered offense. I can't think of anything scarier than that for Pats fans. Yes, he showed promise in the game against Kansas City, but it would only be a matter of time before something bad happens. Brady is the leader for New England, and anyone else could spell disaster.
