To say Carl Pavano's pitching career has been injury-riddled is probably an understatement.
The former 18 game winner in 2004 with the Florida Marlins is scheduled to make his first big-league start in almost two years against the Baltimore Orioles today.
This would be the 20th start he has made in a Yankees uniform since signing a lucrative four year deal with the Yankees in 2005. Pavano is now in the final year of that deal.
Whether Pavano will make a successful comeback in the MLB is yet to be known but one thing is for sure: Yanks fans will be glued to the television after every pitch he makes today, praying that he won't fall to the ground clutching his surgically repaired elbow or his tender shoulder.
