Pearce helps Pirates end Mets' winning streak at 6

 
Steve Pearce hit a tiebreaking single in the eighth inning and the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Mets 5-2 Monday, ending New York's six-game winning streak. The loss left the Mets with a 1 1/2-game lead over idle Philadelphia in the NL East. (link)
