Peavy earns first win since April 11 (AP)

Jake Peavy won for the first time in more than three weeks and Tadahito Iguchi hit the go-ahead two-run double to help the San Diego Padres defeat the Florida Marlins 7-2 on Saturday night. Peavy (4-1) allowed two runs, five hits, walked two and struck out eight in 5 2-3 innings. It was the 2007 National League Cy Young Award winner's first win since April 11.
