PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Penguins are going to play for the Stanley Cup.
A pair of goals from Ryan Malone led the way in a 6-0 rout of the Philadelphia Flyers that closed out the Eastern Conference final 4-1.

Besides the fact that only 8.4% of Stanley Cup Playoff series that start off 3-0 make it to a sixth game (13 out of 155), the Penguins are undefeated this season when playing on NBC. How sweet it is !!! “Play Penguins hockey and this series is over”. That was the statement I made prior to both Game Five’s in the Rangers and Flyers series, and that’s exactly what the Pens did. The Penguins played another near-perfect game, combined with some fortunate breaks, and thumped the Flyers 6-0 today to win the Eastern Conference championship and a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals.
