Everyone seems to think being a Yankee fan is so easy, but it’s not true at all. Our team has won 26 rings, 39 AL pennants, and is considered the best franchise in all of sports. What does that mean now?
We can all look back at those championships and say how great those teams were, but nowadays it’s all about what have you done for me lately. The Yankees haven’t won the World Series since 2000 against the Mets.
Anything short of a World Series title is no good in a lot of fans' minds. Yankee fans are spoiled..there is no arguing that, but that doesn’t make us worse then anyone else. The fans don’t control the team, so don’t blame us for the decisions the organization makes. I have been a Yankee fan my entire life.
The first memorable moment I saw was Charlie Hayes catching the last out of the 1996 World Series when I was five years old. They went on to win in '98,'99, and '00. Some fans don’t get to see one win in ...
