Philadelphia Eagles Training: Chris Clemons Hospitalized

 
What began as a fairly uneventful day at training camp ended with ambulance sirens blaring. Philadelphia Eagles' defensive end Chris Clemons was rushed to the hospital after suffering from dehydration. The Eagles training staff carted Clemons off the field to the locker room where they tried to decrease his body temperature with cold rags and ice packs, but were forced to call for medical attention. Clemons sat in the ambulance conscious and alert for six minutes before being taken to the hospital; Andy Reid soon followed in an SUV. Quarterback Donovan McNabb says it's tough to lose a player like that. "You never want to see any of your teammates carried off and driven to the hospital for dehydration, but the doctors will do a good job and he'll be back," McNabb said. McNabb says most Eagles are used to the heat, but the fact that Clemons is new means he may not be used to the scorching temperatures.
