Some Phillies roster news to pass along: *Victorino activated Shane Victorino returns to the Phillies today after spending 15 days on the disabled list. To make room, T.J. Bohn was sent back down to the minors. Considering how well Jayson Werth hit in his absence, Victorino will have to play well to earn his starting spot back. He is not in the starting line-up for tonight's game....Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? From a year ago? Um, thou art worse. Less temperate.

Greg Maddux, the 42 year old future Hall of Famer, was denied his 350th career victory by a pitcher who was two years old when Maddux started his major league career in 1986. Cole Hamels, now 24 years old, proved to be, at least on this night, a better pitcher than Maddux in leading the Phillies to a 7-4 win over the Padres.
