Phillies sit Howard against Big Unit

Manager Charlie Manuel sees improvement in Ryan Howard's swing against right-handed pitchers, so he saw no reason to risk a regression by having the big guy deal with the special challenge that is Randy Johnson.

The Phillies lost to the Diamondbacks 6-4 tonight thanks to a bad pitching performance by Adam Eaton. Eaton gave up six runs in four innings, but no run was worse than the one he gave up when he walked Randy Johnson on four straight pitches with the bases loaded in the fourth inning.
