Pirates P Gorzelanny leaves game apparent back pain

 
Pittsburgh Pirates left-hander Tom Gorzelanny bent over in pain after a fifth-inning pitch against the New York Mets on Wednesday, then left the game after getting the inning's final out. Gorzelanny's first pitch to David Wright was well outside. Manager John Russell and a trainer quickly came out of the dugout and appeared to be examining his back. After several warmup pitches, Gorzelanny stayed in and got Wright to ground out to end the inning, which made him eligible for a win. [link]
