Plaxico Burress out of Sunday's game

Giants receiver Plaxico Burress won’t get a chance to be a game-time decision this Sunday. He has already been ruled out of the Giants’ game against the Washington Redskins. Even though Tom Coughlin said earlier that Burress’ injured hamstring “is progressing, no doubt. He is getting better. He is,” he apparently hasn’t made enough progress to be included in the game. It also could be precautiounary, since Burress tried to play last Sunday, but only lasted three plays before he had to pull himself out of the game. Burress declined to speak with the media this week, so it’s not clear how he’s feeling or what he thinks of not playing. Meanwhile, LB Jonathan Goff (hamstring) is also out. RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck), DT Fred Robbins (shoulder) and RB Brandon Jacobs (ankle) are questionable. Barring a setback, Jacobs is expected to play. (link)
