Predictions for Yankees-Red Sox

 
Oh goody. We’re only a few hours away from the first Yankees-Red Sox game of the season. So that means it’s time for my traditional predictions list. In preparation for this weekend, I checked out what the enemy is up by looking at Red Sox fan sites Boston Dirt Dogs , Surviving Grady , and The Soxaholix . I read all about David Ortiz’s slump and Jonathan Papelbon’s stunt double for his, um, backside. Too much information! Changing the subject, quickly! Without further ado, here are my predictions: Derek Jeter will play at some point this weekend - maybe as a pinch-hitter. So will Jorge Posada, at DH. But Jose Molina will be the breakout star of the weekend at catcher. Melky Cabrera will have at least one big defensive play, and will have at least one homer. Alex Rodriguez, who currently has 520 homers, will surpass Ted Willams’ 521 career homers in Ted’s old ballpark this weekend. David Ortiz will unfortunately wake up out of this ... (link)
