Terrence Williams, producer of only the third and fourth triple-doubles in Louisville history, returned to practice Thursday for the Cardinals.
"T-Will," as he is often called by the Louisville faithful, went down to a non-contact tear in his meniscus on Oct. 14. After having arthroscopic surgery on Oct. 15, he was expected to sit four to six weeks.
Positive news came from Louisville coach Rick Pitino, who said if Louisville's exhibition this Saturday at Northern Kentucky University was a regular season game, Williams would see the court.
Williams averaged 35.9 minutes for the Cardinals last season and is expected to play a key role if Louisville wants to live up to their preseason No. 3 ranking.
In addition to having a constant presence on the court last season, Williams was responsible for 11.1 points per game. More importantly, T-Will found his teammates well, averaging 4.5 assists.
Pitino said Williams would return to full speed practice on Sunday. Louisville needs the senior ...
