Raiders Quiet So Far This Offseason; Need To Make a Move Quick

 
In the 2008 offseason, the Oakland Raiders gave away huge contracts to players who were believed to be able to change the Raiders habit of losing. They didn't. Instead, the Raiders won five games. This year Al Davis and his head coach, Tom Cable, have decided to stay out of the headlines and silently re-sign their best players, not acquiring many players who can help at the positions with the most need. The first part is smart, but the second part, for me, is annoying. The Raiders have completely ignored the fact that their defensive line can be stopped by a newborn, the wide receivers are young and have no veteran to help them, and their offensive tackles can't even block their defensive ends! The Raiders must quickly trade for and sign players that don't need the big bucks but do need a job. Maybe one high-priced guy. At the offensive tackle position, the Raiders will be fine. Move Mario Henderson to right tackle and draft an offensive tackle in the first ... (link)
