Rain, rain, go away!

 
It’s an absolutely miserable day in the Northeast, raining up a storm. So it Game 5 of the World Series will not get to be played tonight - it’s now scheduled for Wednesday night, if the rain stops, that is! Last night’s game was pretty ridiculous. Jimmy Rollins was rocking some Farmer John-like hat to protect him from the elements, and B.J. Upton was hydroplaning when he slid. Squawker Jon and I were yakking on the phone during the game. We were all agog that they let them play in the rain for as long as they did. Mercifully, MLB pulled the plug on the game after Tampa Bay tied it, but it went on way too long. For once, I actually agree with Bud Selig. He said that if the Rays hadn’t had tied the game, the World Series would not have ended with a rain-shortened victory: “The game would have been in a rain delay until weather conditions allowed us to continue,” he said. “That might have been 24 or 48 hours or who knows? “It’s my ...
