Rangers, Mariners brawl after high pitch

SEATTLE -- Ian Kinsler hit a two-run home run and then was hit by a pitch, setting up a fourth-inning brawl in the Texas Rangers' 5-0 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Thursday night.

After Seattle Mariners starter Felix Hernandez hit two Texas Rangers hitters, former Boston Red Sox prospect and current Ranger Kason Gabbard did what any normal pitcher would do. He buzzed one of the other team’s stars. I do have to say the pitch wasn’t close to hitting him but obviously Sexson thought it was.Sexson sets off fracas in Seattle

Richie Sexson’s decision to charge the mound on this “purpose” pitch from Kason Gabbard pretty much highlights his knowledge of the strike zone.
