Rangers' Shanahan returns, 2 still out (AP)

 
Brendan Shanahan made a surprise return to the New York lineup Tuesday night, but the Rangers were still short due to injuries to Martin Straka and Sean Avery. Straka sustained a concussion during overtime of the Rangers' shootout loss at Edmonton on Saturday night. Shanahan went down minutes earlier with an injured left knee after colliding with Oilers forward Dustin Penner. (link)
