The picture is a little exaggerated, but you get the gist that the Angels won.
It was around 1:30 AM EDT this morning when the Boston Red Sox lost to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. This game looked to be one for the ages, where the Red Sox looked to put away the Angels for a record 12th time in the postseason, but that look changed quickly when Mike Napoli scored in the 12th inning off of Javier Lopez (surprise surprise!).
Red Sox Nation should have known that this one was going to end badly for the Sox when Jed Lowrie, the rookie sensation, struck out with the bases loaded in the 10th inning, essentially giving the Angels hope and momentum that they would later use to win the game.
The only positive out of a game of negatives for the Red Sox was that Jacoby Ellsbury made postseason history by knocking a three-run single; he was the first Boston rookie to do so.
