Former AL Cy Young Award winner Bartolo Colon agreed Monday to a minor league contract with the Boston Red Sox and will report to spring training. The 34-year-old Colon right-hander was 6-8 with a 6.34 ERA in 19 games last season with the Los Angeles Angels. Sox and Bartolo Colon agree to Minor League Deal

ESPN.com reports that the Red Sox reached an agreement on a minor league contract with the former 2005 Cy Young Award winner. This could be a good thing for Boston, now without Curt Schilling, the club could use the insurance. Bartolo had an awful 2007 for the Angels, putting up a 6-8 record and a 6.34 ERA, a career worst. He is looking to re-establish his value to the league.
