Red Sox included in Mitchell's findings

Given that former Sen. George Mitchell is a director for the Red Sox, there had been speculation about how his role with the team would affect his report. However, the Mitchell Report mentions several former Boston players and includes candid front office discourse.

WEEI and WNBC erroneously reported that Red Sox captain Jason Varitek was included in the report. He was NOT named as was originally reported, and so far Julian Tavarez’s name is not reported either.
