Daisuke Matsuzaka was scratched from his start for the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday night because of flu-like symptoms. Jon Lester was to take his place against the Los Angeles Angels. Matsuzaka was the second Red Sox starter to get pulled from an outing in two days. Josh Beckett missed Tuesday night because of neck stiffness.
