Andreas Lilja's second-period goal broke a tie and the Detroit Red Wings beat the Carolina Hurricanes 5-2 on Sunday. Valtteri Filppula, Johan Franzen, Pavel Datsyuk, and Tomas Holmstrom also scored in NHL-leading Detroit's sixth-straight victory. Jiri Hudler had three assists and Dominik Hasek made 15 saves.
