The Phillies were hopeful that Brad Lidge would start the season healthy enough to contribute right away, but it's not going to happen. Lidge was placed on the 15 day disabled list, retroactive to March 21st, meaning the first day he could be activated would be for the sixth game of the season, April 6th against the Reds.
