Report: Nettles to have prostate cancer surgery

Former major league third baseman Graig Nettles, a key member of the Yankees' World Series teams of the 1970s, has prostate cancer and will have surgery next month, according to a media report.

The 1910 pre-Yankees may have had the most unexpected second-place finish in baseball history. I have always been fascinated by the 1910 New York Highlanders. They're one of those teams that I would have loved to watch, because from this distance, what they did seems impossible.
