Report: Packers would consider trade within division

 
Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy is in Mississippi meeting with quarterback Brett Favre and his agent James "Bus" Cook. Packers coach Mike McCarthy would not discuss the nature of the discussions Wednesday morning. Favre said he was retiring in March but filed for reinstatement with the NFL on Tuesday. He is awaiting approval from commissioner Roger Goodell, which could come as early as Wednesday. (link)
