Rutgers on the rise
I’m starting to feel a lot better about the future of Rutgers football today.
The Scarlet Knights may be 3-5, but they are coming off that 54-34 victory over Pitt last week - the same Pitt team that defeated Notre Dame, 36-33, in four overtimes today in South Bend. Rutgers has four games remaining - Syracuse, at South Florida, Army and Louisville. Given the crazy nature of the Big East. Why can’t they win them all and go to another bowl game?
West Virginia (6-2, 3-0), which defeated UConn (6-3, 2-2), has taken control of Big East, but everything else in the conference is up for grabs. The top of the standings after this afternoon look like this: West Virginia (3-0), Pitt and Cincinnati (2-1), Rutgers and UConn (2-2).
