Ryan Dempster: Players would welcome back Milton Bradley

Sporting News Cubs righthander Ryan Dempster told the Chicago Tribune that his teammates would welcome back outfielder Milton Bradley if the team is unable to trade him this offseason. "We're a pretty good bunch of guys and we're pretty forgiving," Ryan Dempster said. "I just want the best for Milton, if it's for our team or another team. I just want him to be happy and want him to play baseball. ... We'd have our arms wide open and hope that things would get better." Trading Bradley could prove difficult because of the attitude problems that led to his late-season suspension and the fact that he is owed $21 million over the next two seasons. Bradley hit .257 with 12 homers and 40 RBIs in 124 games this season. (link)
