Sacramento Kings: Rubio Finally Gets His Chance To Impress

 
On Monday, Ricky Rubio finally got to work out and make his case with the Sacramento Kings.   Last week Rubio had a scheduled workout that he had to skip due to falling ill. He was able to have dinner with Kings General Manager Geoff Petrie, but missed the meeting with Joe and Gavin Malloof, as well as the workout.   On Monday, Rubio took to the court with Petrie and new Kings head coach Paul Westphall.   While he has had interviews with the Thunder and Grizzlies, the Kings are the first team he has worked out for and may be the only one.   When asked by a reporter at the airport how he would feel about playing in Sacramento Rubio responded, “very good. Of course they have great weather and great fit. We'll see what they're gonna do.”   The workout was a bit unusual in the fact that he was alone.
