San Diego Chargers 2009 Draft Report Card

 
Written by: Bill Riley SAN DIEGO CHARGERS Draft Grade: D Fantasy Impact Grade: D  The good news for San Diego is they didn’t have a bunch of needs.   The bad news is they didn’t address the existing ones.   What happens if LT is done?  That running back situation could get ugly in a hurry, and there was no help. Would have liked to see them trade down in the first round and pick up Chris Wells. Or, just get Chris Wells first round with the 16th pick.  That wouldn’t have been much bigger of a reach than picking Larry English with the pick.   But, the Chargers chose to have a crisis plan for Shawne Merriman rather than LT.  Might be a clue as to who is farther along in their rehab.   Fantasy Advice The Chargers picked up some linemen, but no real polished players.  No help for the backs or Philip Rivers there.  System normal for ...
